Maple Broiled Scallops
Ingredients:
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon horseradish
4 to 6 sea scallops per person (you may also substitute 1-inch pieces of chicken breast in this recipe)
1/3 strip bacon per each scallop (or chicken piece)
Directions:
Mix the pure maple syrup and horseradish. Wrap each scallion (or chicken piece) with 1/3 strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place them on a broiler pan and brush with the maple syrup mixture. Broil for 3 minutes. Turn, brush again, and broil for another 2-3 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy. Serve hot.
