I bought the book last month and I found it to be very good, just as the reviews said. The only drawbacks are that sometimes it is confusing to know the exact number of repetitions you have to do (or what EXACTLY you have to do), and that the nutrition chapter focuses on losing weight, not gaining it. Other than that, I have no complaints.

I have decided to start following the Beginner’s Workout to get in shape, followed by the Intermediate one. I have a couple of questions (for now):

First, both workouts go from day 1 to day 30 unlike the 12-week program, which goes Monday-Saturday for each week (I guess that all Sundays are rest day). My questions was, do I have to exercise every day (thus finishing the workout in one month), or should I rest on weekends/Sunday?

Second, the Beginner/Intermediate workouts tell you to do “Full body stretch” after exercising on certain days. In the Stretching chapter you instruct us to stretch before and after every workout. Should I do this only with the Advanced workout?

I was also gonna ask about the shoulder workout (which is not included in the book), but I found it in this website.

    Thank you very much.

It is up to you – many people like going 30 straight days of doing or some choose to do 5 days a week and finish in 6 weeks. Rest when you want to – some people have more time to get in the harder / longer workouts in on Sunday so they do a mid week rest day. The goal is to get 5-6 workouts a week.

Up to you – I recommend a good stretch after every workout. A light warmup / stretch is also recommended prior to exercising but that should only take 5-6 minutes.
